ABOUTUS

The Collegiate Fastpitch Series (CFS), powered by Athletx Sports Group, is the perfect way to keep your game sharp over the summer without having to commit to multiple weeks of action, therefore safeguarding your health & still giving you time to experience key internships and/or fulfill other degree pursuits.

The Collegiate Fastpitch Series will take place in late June in Round Rock, Texas & late July in Elizabethtown, Kentucky & features a minimum of eight games over five days for each team. Every squad will include student-athletes from schools across the nation & be led by high-level prep coaches who will interface with your college coach to understand your playing goals or any performance limitations during the summer. Student-athletes are welcome to register for one or both events.

Athletx Sports Group puts on hundreds of youth softball & baseball events around the nation every year. The Collegiate Fastpitch Series will take place in conjunction with the Youth Softball Nationals in Texas & in conjunction with the Softball Youth All-American Games in Kentucky. Both youth events will feature hundreds of youth players who will be excited to check out collegiate action in the same complex where their games take place! Student-athletes participating in the Collegiate Fastpitch Series will be required to assist with the youth camp on Day 3 of the event. (see the same player schedule below)

Athletx Sports Group’s softball efforts are led by former Division I Associate Head Coach Allison Honkofsky, who coached at both Lamar & Morehead State. Allie & her staff will create balanced teams based on feedback from the coaches of student-athletes participating, recently-completed season statistics and position balance (enough pitchers, catchers, etc on each team). Each team will have no more than 14 players.

Up to four student-athletes from the same school can be on the same CFS team.

All CFS teams will be coached by hand-selected prep coaches from the area. Every team will have two coaches.

All CFS games will be seven innings played under college rules with two high-quality umpires. All games will be officially-scored via Gamechanger, have a public address announcer & games in Kentucky will be live streamed for fans at home to watch via HiCast. Tickets to watch games on-site are $5 per person, per day. (Pitching minimums, hit everyone?, run rules? other nuances?)

A certified Athletic Trainer will be on-site during all workouts & games. Athletx Sports Group is also fully insured.

Full refunds are available for injury purposes up until 60 days before the event. No other refunds will be allowed.

All student-athletes participating in the Collegiate Fastpitch Series are required to help with a three-hour youth camp with youth players from the adjoining event (Youth Softball Nationals in Texas or Softball Youth All-American Games in Kentucky). The structure of the camp will be very similar to ones you’ve likely helped with back on campus & is a great opportunity to connect with younger players who want to be in your shoes playing college ball one day.

Participation in the Collegiate Fastpitch Series costs $399 per student-athlete per event.
